This is great for many things. This is used for christening or baptizing both babies and adults. I like to do my kids on the 30 day mark but it didn't seem to help my son! The again I didn't have this item at the time.
Some churches will dunk the entire adult or baby in water. Not a fan of that at all, accidental drowning and all that nasty mess. Some churches will just dip their fingers in the water and some will use a shell or a rattle looking thing. This is the shell. A little water is put in it and it is dripped onto the head of the person.
This version is a bit different. This is the shell but it is also gold painted on the edges.
