This piece holds a Native American lycanthrope spell.  It is common knowledge that vampires and werewolves are natural born enemies.  The first werewolves were of Native American origins.  A Hopi shaman first cast what is known in Native circles as "the Curse" upon a group of braves to whom he entrusted the protection of their tribes.

It was new to them and it took them a while to get it under control.  In the meantime, they'd pretty much just bite whoever crossed them.  What they didn't know is that their bite could spread the curse.  Thus, the werewolf curse spread across America, with Native Americans from West to East being "infected".

The curse was not due to expire until the last vampire was extinct from the Earth.  We all know that didn't happen.  That's why werewolves still exist.  It's just a balancing of nature.  Neither species will ever die out.  It's just how it goes.

This piece holds the lycanthrope powers of one native who figured out how to get rid of it.  He went to a witch for a spell, who cast his powers into this ring should he ever change his mind.  Needless to say he hasn't.  We ended up with the piece.

This piece allows you to transform and shapeshift into any form that you want to take.  It also gives you a knowledge of celestial sorcery, which will allow you to create powers using the energies of the stars to go along with your shape-shifting.  After all, it is celestial events that trigger the curse, it's only right that it benefits you as well.
