These earrings were once owned by the Countess of Baldenheim.  She is a vampiress that has taken many victims for herself.  Baldenheim is a small town in France and if I'm being honest there really isn't a countess of Baldenheim, but this is what she calls herself.  I mean, she's lived there for hundreds of years, traveling the roads of the wilderness, scouring it for her next unknowing victim.  She used these victims to cast blood alchemy spells and perform other blood rituals.  Either way, her residuals energies are in this piece.  When you wear the earrings or even hold them in your hand, you will be able to hear her talk to you.  It is more of a telepathic voice that you hear within your mind.  You are able to meditate with this item and ask her to grant you the sanguine powers and abilities you want.  She will then chant into your mind, adding strands of DNA into your mind that add whatever power you have asked for.
