As it turns out, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, FDR as he has so affectionately come to be known, was obsessed with time travel. Who'd've thunk? The Waldorf Astoria is perhaps one of the most luxurious hotels in New Your. While there have been many more constructed over the years, this one seems to be the one that attracts all the bigwigs. Every president from Hoover to Trump has stayed in this hotel at one point in time or another, but not just for the luxury. Underneath the hotel is a very secret, secret train platform. It is very inconspicuous. The Secret Service has even been sworn to secrecy regarding its location. Dubbed Track 61, this secret train station is still in used to this and can be reached in just minutes from Hyde Park or JFK airport.
As always, there is more to the story. The train car that was once used to cart around FDR is no longer in use and hasn't been for years, or so they say. It sits abandoned at the bottom of the Waldorf Astoria, on Track 61. If this train is so defunct, why don't they just get rid of it? Well, because it isn't as defunct as they'd like to put on. In fact, they actually still do use it and not for purpose of nostalgia. This train has been magically charged and allows whoever is traveling in it at the time to defeat the laws of nature and travel in time. That is the whole thing about track 61.
